I am wondering why it is that so often we get those "email forwards" that are reworked versions of ones we've seen before. For example, the oft repeated Peace Plan by Robin Williams.

First of all, Mr. Willams did not produce this work.

It has some good points, so why doesn't the real author come forward? Afraid of repercussions?
